Auf den Spuren der Waldspilze Passend zum Europäischen Pilztag fanden auch unsere NOVUM-Pilzwanderungen statt. Er wird an jedem vierten Samstag im September gefeiert, in 2020 am 26. September. Die Ziele des Europäischen Pilztags sind mehrere: Zum einen soll das Wissen über die Pilze vertieft werden, indem man Veranstaltungen für Interessierte anbietet und zum anderen dient er auch dem Schutz der Lebensräume seltener Pilzarten. So war es auch am Wochenende vom 26. September 2020 bei NOVUM wieder soweit: die legendären Pilzwanderungen fanden statt. Corona bedingt dieses Jahr eine Herausforderung und in etwas abgeänderter Form. Wir starteten mit zwei kleinen Gruppen zu verschiedenen Uhrzeiten in den Wald - alles unter strenger Einhaltung der Hygiene- und Abstandsregeln Geleitet vom Pilzsachverständigen der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Mykologie, Dr. Thomas Lehr, lernten wir die verschiedenen Pilzarten kennen und wie man giftige von essbaren unterscheiden kann.Photo by BILDAIR Photo by BILDAIR Das, was wir Pilz nennen und essen ist nur ein ganz kleiner Teil des Pilzes, der Fruchtkörper. Der eigentliche Pilz ist gar nicht sichtbar. Er wächst unter der Erde wie ein Spinnennetz aus lauter dünnen Fäden. Dieses Netz nennt man Myzel. Das Pilzwachstum ist abhängig von der Witterung. Wichtig ist eine durchgehend warme Lufttemperatur und ausreichend Feuchtigkeit der Waldböden durch genügend Regen. Durch die Hitze und Trockenheit der vergangenen Wochen, gab es leider nicht viele Fruchtkörper zu finden. Nichtsdestotrotz hatten wir eine lehrreiche und interessante Zeit im Wald und ließen uns auch durch das regnerische und kühle Wetter die Laune nicht vermiesen. Dieses Jahr mussten wir auf unser gemeinsames Kochen, das üblicherweise im Anschluss an die Wanderung stattfindet, verzichten. Als Trost bekamen die Teilnehmer ein leckeres Pilz-Rezept an die Hand, dass sie zu Hause ausprobieren konnten. Aufgrund der hohen Nachfrage werden wir die Pilzwanderung im kommenden Jahr wiederholen und hoffentlich in alt gewohnter Art. Über Termine werden wir dann rechtzeitig informieren.
