General Manager for Logistic Industry – Location ShanghaiShanghai, China Our client is a German company providing full-service logistic solution for industrial clients such as the automobile and machinery industry. To further expand the sales network and support their successful business in China, we are looking for an ambitious self-driven General Manager for the sales subsidiary in Shanghai. Responsibilities Overall responsibility for a German WFOE company in Shanghai with about 10 employees P&L responsibility for sales, marketing finance and HR functions with focus on sales and strategic development in China Work out the China sales strategy together with HQ in Germany Develop and implement the strategic marketing and sales plan Develop the nationwide sales network and identify new business opportunities Lead and motivate the staff; establish performance goals for sales employees, setup sales controlling system Develop and improve business relations with customers and strategic partners Continue analysis of the market, competition and development Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies and other requirements of P. R. China Regular contact with all authorities (e. g. tax office, customs etc.) and partners Regular report to the Headquarters in Germany Requirements Bachelor degree or related vocational training with working experience in logistic industry Successful hands-on experience on direct sales of logistic solution for business clients, the target industries are preferably automobile and machinery industry At least 5 years working experience in management, at least 5 years experience in direct Sales (B2B) Experience in working for Western (European/American) companies or in working/living in European/US countries, preferably for German company/in Germany Chinese language at mother tongue level, fluent in English spoken and written, German language skills are big plus Self-motivated, team player, hands on, excellent communication and negotiation skills Professional usage of standard Microsoft Office software (e. g.
